Elizabeth Sullivan has re-examined the perspective of the common doily, an historically domestic object often considered a forgotten relic. She has recontextualised the doily’s significance by applying mixed media embroidery to enhance its intricate craftsmanship and cultural meaning. The transformation results in vibrant, contemporary artworks that invite viewers to reconsider their own perspectives on the intersection of art, craft and history.
